Day 3 and a quiet night’s sleep at the “Purple House”- kudos to Khemrak and Sreyleak, what a lovely little oasis they have created, a few kms out of town and beautifully set up with self catering goodies and a secure and relaxing garden!
We set off for Chong Kneas this morning to test out the bikes, the legs and most importantly the heat. Very enjoyable ride…but the 44km we covered today was about my limit. Gonna have to toughen up a bit! There’s always somewhere to stop for a little rest though…
A lovely catch-up with Chanthou, Socheata and their adorable three kids in the afternoon, with a little outing to the West Baray…we might try and come back out for a ride here in a day or two!
Then dinner at the local soup place with the tribe…a great way to eat and terrific company!
